Configuring TCP/IP for Mac
- Operating System: Mac
- Application: PPPoE
|
IMPORTANT: If you are currently operating on the computer that you would like the MacPoET to be installed, it is strongly recommended that you print all of the additional instructions from this point until the end due to the fact that you will lose your Internet connectivity.
- Click the Apple menu, and select Control Panels... TCP/IP.

- Once the TCP/IP window is open, select File on the menu and select Configurations.


- In the white box, highlight the Active configuration (as stated on the top of the window) by clicking once on the selection (This should be highlighted by default).
- Click the Duplicate button.

- Type Modem Setup - Velocity in the box.
- Click OK.
- Click on the Duplicate button again.

- Type DSL Setup - Velocity in the box.
- Click OK.

- Highlight "DSL Setup - Velocity" in the box.
- Click the Make Active button.
You now see the "TCP/IP (DSL Setup - Velocity)" window.
- Select Velocity for Connect Via.
- Select Manually for Configure.
- Type 123.123.123.123 in the IP Address field.
- Type 255.255.255.0 in the Subnet mask field.
- Type 123.123.123.1 in the Router address field.
- Type the following numbers in the Name server addr field:
207.182.224.5
207.182.224.10
- In Search domains, type vel.net.

- Close the TCP/IP window.
Your will receive the following message asking you to save changes.

- Click the Save button.
