How to Configure Messenger
- Operating System: Windows 95/98, 2000, ME
- Application: Netscape Messenger
- Application Version: 4.x
|
- Click the Start button.
- From the Start menu, point to Netscape Communicator and choose Netscape Navigator.

- From the menu bar, click Edit and choose Preferences.

- From Mail & Groups click the Identity link.

- In the Full Name text box, type your name.
- In the Email Address text box, type email address. For example: mary@vel.net

- From Mail & Groups click the Mail Server link.

- In the Mail server username text box, type your email address replacing the '@' with a '%'. For expample: mary%vel.net
- In the Outgoing mail [SMTP] server text box, type smtp.domain.com. (For example smtp.vel.net)

- Select the Edit button for Incoming mail server.
- In the Incoming Mail Server text box, type pop3.domain.com. (For example pop3.vel.net)
- Server Type is POP3
- Username: username%mydomain.com (for example mary%vel.net)
- Select Remember Password

- Click the OK button to close the window.
- Click the OK button to close the window.
- Close all your Netscape windows and then reopen. You will be able to send and receive email.
