How to Configure Messenger For Macintosh
- Operating System: Mac
- Application: Netscape Messenger
- Application Version: 4.5 - 4.7
|
- Open Netscape
- From the menu bar, click Edit and choose Preferences.

- From Mail & Groups click the Identity link.

- In the Your Name text box, type your name.
- In the Email Address text box, type your email address. For example: mary@vel.net

- From Mail & Newsgroups click the Mail Servers link.

- Outgoing Mail server
- In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: text box, add smtp.domain.com (for example: smtp.vel.net)
- In the Outgoing mail server user name: text box, add username@domain.com (for example: mary@vel.net)

- Outgoing Mail server
- Select the Add button for Incoming mail server.
- In the Incoming Mail Server text box, type pop3@domain.com (for example: pop3.vel.net)
- Server Type is POP3
- Username:username%mydomain.com (for example: mary@vel.net)
- Select Remember Password

- Click the OK button to close the window.
- Click the OK button to close the window.
- Close all your netscape windows
- Reboot your computer
